چکیده
Abstract: We conducted this research to determine the NAT2 gene-phenotype characteristics and pharmacokinetics (PK) parameters of isoniazid among patients with non-MDR pulmonary tuberculosis. Data were collected from 132 diagnosed newly acquired or relapsed tuberculosis treated at 03 hospitals: Hanoi Lung Hospital, Central National K74 Hospital. PK samples one day 10th – 14th after commencing treatment. The average age recruited was 45.43 ± 15.76 years; majority male (74.24%). slow medium acetylator types, as indicated by phenotypes, two major types (37.88% 35.6%, respectively). 61.12% had their Bayesian isoniazid-acetyl population modeling - determined Cmax value within therapeutic range 3 6 µg/mL. Acelytator type showed a statistically significant correlation Cmax.

Relationship between N-acetyltransferase 2 single-nucleotide polymorphisms and phenotype.
Dear Sir, We read with interest a recent paper published by Agudo et al. (1) published in Carcinogenesis. The investigators measured aromatic DNA adducts in white blood cells in 296 healthy adults from five regions of Spain. They analyzed functional polymorphisms in metabolic genes CYP1A1, CYP1A2, EPHX1, GSTM1, GSTT1, SULT1A1 and N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) and explored potential associations ...

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...
Correlation of N-Acetyltransferase 2 Genotype with Isoniazid Acetylation in Polish Tuberculosis Patients
UNLABELLED Isoniazid (INH), a key agent in the treatment of tuberculosis (TB), is metabolized primarily by the genetically polymorphic N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) enzyme. Patients treated with INH can be classified as fast, intermediate, and slow acetylators. The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between NAT2 genotypes and the serum concentrations of INH. Blood samples fr...
متن کاملAntituberculosis Drug-Induced Hepatotoxicity in Iranian Tuberculosis Patients: Role of Isoniazid Metabolic Polymorphism
The aim of this study was to determine the association of n-acetyltransferase-2 polymorphisms and anti-tuberculosis drug-induced hepatotoxicity in Iranian pulmonary tuberculosis patients. Acetylating phenotypes was studied in 50 Iranian pulmonary tuberculosis patients using metabolic ratio of plasma acetyl-Isoniazid to Isoniazid. The association between hepatotoxicity and the n-acetyltransferas...
